Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Air Conditioner Healthy Wind 1.5HP in China. It's a cheaper alternative to another model released earlier this year. In addition to heating and cooling, this smart home product also offers air purification, with current air quality indicated by a colored light.

The Xiaomi Mijia Healthy Wind 1.5HP Air Conditioner has arrived in China. This new model is a more affordable version of the Healthy Wind 1.5HP Air Conditioner Pro. Its features include cooling, heating, and air purification. The Mijia Healthy Wind 1.5HP Air Conditioner has an air circulation volume of 780 m³/h (~27,545 ft³/h) and has an air outlet of 108 mm (~4.3 inches). With a cooling power of 850W and a heating power of 1290W, it is said to start cooling a room in 30 seconds or heating it in 60 seconds. Users can choose from a range of modes and wind speeds, with the lowest setting generating only 18 dBA of noise. These settings can be controlled with the included remote control or through the Xiaomi app. Optional Health Filter Eliminates up to 99.99% of the Influenza A Virus This smart air conditioner also features an optional health filter, which can remove formaldehyde, bacteria, and dust from the air. According to Xiaomi, it can eliminate 99.99% of the Influenza A virus subtype H1N1 and 95% of grass pollen. It also features a 56°C (~133°F) self-cleaning mode. Users can view the levels of formaldehyde, PM2.5, and CO2 detected in the air through the brand's app. Additionally, the color of the light surrounding the built-in display also reflects the air quality. The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Healthy Wind 1.5HP has an APF rating of 5.32 and also supports HyperOS Connect. The indoor unit has a white finish and measures 860 x 311 x 208 mm (~33.9 x 12.2 x 8.2 inches). This product is now available for pre-order in China, where it will retail for CNY 2,999 (~$417). It's unclear whether it will be released in other markets worldwide.
